NSBA ESG Survey 2025

Where We Stand on ESG

A 2025 Baseline for Saskatchewan Business

Our 2025 ESG Survey offers a snapshot of where Saskatchewan’s business community stands on sustainability. While 179 local business leaders expressed strong interest in ESG, the findings reveal a clear gap between awareness and action—underscoring the urgent need for practical tools, support, and accessible guidance.

With strong interest and low current adoption, Saskatchewan’s SME sector is well-positioned for rapid ESG acceleration, provided that businesses receive the right support, frameworks, and funding access.

63%

Are aware of ESG, but only 25% have begun integrating it. ESG adoption remains in early stages across the province.

6%

Just 6% have measured their carbon footprint. Highlights the need for accessible tools and guidance.

66%

Of SK businesses report at least one emission-reducing initiative.
